We are looking for an enthusiastic and approachable finance professional to join our friendly team, to support the financial controller and finance director
The role:
Duties will predominantly be for one of our larger clients with multiple subsidiaries and will consist of:-
- Management accounts preparation for multiple companies in various currencies
- Assisting with revenue forecasting
- Cashflow forecasting to include intercompany transfers
- Daily banking updates to Directors
- VAT returns
- Raise sales ledger invoices in multiple currencies – on instruction or in accordance with recurring transaction lists. Post / fax / e-mail as appropriate
- Chase outstanding / overdue debtors, as required, by phone, letter or email as appropriate and requested by Financial Controller
- Raise entries for credit card purchases ensuring valid paperwork obtained
- Process intercompany transactions for multiple companies in multiple currencies
- Ad-hoc duties as required
There will also be a requirement to support some of our smaller clients and these duties include:-
- Management accounts preparation
- VAT returns
- Bank reconciliation
- Monthly income analysis
- Process purchase ledger invoices
- Supplier reconciliations
- Prepare and process monthly payment runs
- Payroll
- Ad-hoc duties as required
The person:
We are looking for someone with a strong finance background who has experience of all the above, preferably from an environment where you have had to demonstrate good customer service skills as you will be dealing with a number of clients face to face. Ideally you will have other strings to your bow, including office administration skills and perhaps some HR experience. You should be used to dealing with a range of accounting and payroll software packages – SAGE is essential. You should also have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
