Business Garage is an exciting, dynamic, growing company offering a wide range of outsourced business support services to SMEs locally.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our finance team with excellent communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude. This is a part-time role working 25 to 30 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days. It is likely to involve both home-working and a hybrid working arrangement once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
This is a fixed-term position for 6 months, however, there may be future opportunities to become permanent as we have exciting plans to grow. Duties will include:
- Sales ledger
- Purchase ledger
- Supplier payments including payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Processing of monthly / weekly payrolls
- Credit card reconciliations
- Staff expenses
- Bank management
- Intercompany transactions
- Bank management including bank reconciliations
- Credit control
- Any other duties as requested by the financial controller/senior accounts executive to support the finance function
- Answering the telephone / administration
You will support the Finance Manager with all aspects of the day to day running of the accounts function on behalf of our clients. You should be an accomplished bookkeeper, with experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger, VAT, banking (and ideally payroll, although training can be provided).
The ideal candidate will be familiar with a range of accounting software, such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, and have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

The ideal person will also have a strong customer service ethos, be used to liaising with clients and customers, and be highly organized as part of this varied role will include handling events bookings.
