Business Garage is looking for enthusiastic and approachable finance professionals to join our friendly team, to support the Financial Controller and Finance Director.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time (ideally 3 days per week) Senior Finance Executives.

The role:

Duties will predominantly be for one of our larger clients with multiple subsidiaries and will consist of:

  • Management accounts preparation for multiple companies in various currencies
  • Assisting with revenue forecasting
  • Cashflow forecasting to include intercompany transfers
  • Daily banking updates to Directors
  • VAT returns
  • Raising sales ledger invoices in multiple currencies – on instruction or in accordance with recurring transaction lists. Post / fax / e-mail as appropriate
  • Chasing outstanding / overdue debtors, as required, by phone, letter or email as appropriate and requested by Financial Controller
  • Raising entries for credit card purchases ensuring valid paperwork obtained
  • Processing intercompany transactions for multiple companies in multiple currencies
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

There will also be a requirement to support some of our smaller clients and these duties include:

  • Management accounts preparation
  • VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Monthly income analysis
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Supplier reconciliations
  • Preparing and processing monthly payment runs
  • Payroll
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

The person:

We are looking for someone with a strong finance background who has experience of all the above, preferably from an environment where you have had to demonstrate good customer service skills as you will be dealing with a number of clients face-to-face. Ideally you will have other strings to your bow, including office administration skills and perhaps some HR experience. You should be used to dealing with a range of accounting and payroll software packages – SAGE is essential. You should also have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
