On Friday 17th October, Business Garage held an open day to introduce ourselves as newbies to Milton Park and to let everyone know we had arrived! Our doors were open from 11am until 3pm for visitors to pop in and say hello. We had a great turn out of guests wanting to know more about what we do; enquiring about our meeting room space and enjoying some refreshments. It was a great opportunity to meet our new neighbours and show off our swanky new offices.
To spice the day up, we handed out some goody bags, we held a business card draw to win a bottle of Jack Daniels and had a ‘Guess the number of sweets in the jar’ competition, this was £1 a guess and all money raised was donated to Oxfam in support of a Charity team event that Joanne Bunting, Managing Director of Business Garage, is taking part in on Saturday 25th October. Her event is the Oxfam Emergency Challenge http://www.oxfam.org.uk/challenge and includes running 10-15K, cycling 20K, cracking codes, orienteering, engineering and negotiating with traders.
At the end of the day, we drew the lucky winners of the Jack Daniels and jar of sweets. A massive congratulation goes out to Mike Image of Adas UK Ltd who guessed the exact number of sweets in the jar (249 sweets in total!) AND whose business card was randomly picked as the winner of the Jack Daniels. When presenting Mike with his prizes, we recommended he play the lottery as he was obviously onto a lucky win that day!
Overall it was a great day and lots of fun was had. It was a pleasure meeting new faces and a big thank you goes out to everyone that called in and made our day so special.
